Our Physicians

Dr. Klem received his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago where he was elected to membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. In 1992, he was awarded Surgical Intern of the Year. He completed his general surgery residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago. He joined DuPage Surgical Consultants in 1996

Dr. Klem is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is interested in the surgical management of obesity, advanced laparoscopic surgeries and disorders of the breast. He is the Medical Director of the Bariatric Treatment Center at Central DuPage Hospital. Dr. Klem's work has been published in the national literature and he has taught courses in techniques of breast surgery.

Dr. Klem's administrative duties include serving as the Medical Director of Surgery and Chairman of the Peer Review Committee at Central DuPage Hospital.
